The Urban Tree Storm Data Network (UTSDN) is an international network that connects urban tree managers and researchers dedicated to fostering more resilient urban forests amidst climate change. UTSDN's mission is to support research on post-storm assessments and inform data-driven management decisions related to tree risk assessment and management.
UTSDN achieves its mission through the following activities:
Developing and promoting best practices in pre- and post-storm data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Curating and annotating urban resilience citations based on post-storm assessments.
Providing a shared space for organizing and posting post-storm datasets.
Hosting virtual symposia for researchers and practitioners interested in storm resilience and urban tree risk management.
